Sometime in the summer of 2025, a particular strain of genre filmmaking reasserts itself: the creature feature dressed in military fatigues. *Primitive War*, produced by Sparke Films and scheduled for release on August 21, 2025, plants its flag at the intersection of Vietnam War drama and prehistoric monster horror — a combination that sounds, on paper, like something a teenager might sketch in the margins of a history notebook, and which has nonetheless produced some of the more durable B-movie entertainments of the past several decades.
