Comédie-Française

Comédie-Française, released in France under the title De la Comédie-Française, opens in theaters on July 22, 2026. The film centers on Nina, a director mounting her first production at the Comédie-Française, France's national theater company, where the institutional rule holds that the show must never be canceled. Three hours before her premiere, that rule is put to the test: an actor is stranded on a train, technical equipment fails, and conflicts among the company erupt simultaneously. The film tracks Nina's efforts to hold the production together as the clock runs down toward the curtain.
