Collapse

Collapse, released under the original French title Effondrement, opens in cinemas on May 6, 2026. The film is set in the immediate aftermath of October 7, 2023, and follows a woman named Anat who returns to what was once her home — a kibbutz that has been burned down. Over the course of more than two years, she wanders through the devastated agricultural lands surrounding it, now occupied by machinery of destruction. Beyond the fence, the film situates Gaza's annihilation as a presence just outside the frame of her journey.
