Благоустройство

Благоустройство is a Russian-language drama from Doka LLC scheduled for theatrical release on 8 August 2026. The film is set in a sweltering provincial city identified only as N, where a bronze statue of Pushkin stands as a quiet landmark. Against this backdrop, garbage truck driver Pyotr moves through his daily routes, emptying bins in the heat while the entire city waits for rain that refuses to arrive. Evening thunderstorms bring noise but no relief, and only a small fountain offers any respite from the stifling atmosphere. The narrative centres on Pyotr's domestic life as he prepares to marry off his son — a reserved, serious young man described as steadfast in his affection for his parents. The film draws its mood from the slow rhythms of provincial summer life, the static heat, and the small details of a world in anticipation.
