The Widower

The Widower, known in Bosnian as Udovac, is a drama scheduled for release on August 15, 2026, produced by Udruženje za umjetnost, kulturu i sport Spektar. The film centers on Mirsad, a 62-year-old electrician who has spent his life within a patriarchal social framework. When his wife Enisa dies suddenly, he is left alone while his adult children pursue their own lives elsewhere. Confronted with her absence, Mirsad comes to recognize that he had taken her for granted and had not offered her the love and care she warranted. His isolation is compounded by a deteriorating relationship with one of his sons, whose living arrangement Mirsad discovers and cannot reconcile with his worldview.
