The Thai Interpreter

The Thai Interpreter (ล่าม) is a drama scheduled for release on August 12, 2026. The film centers on Ladawan, a Thai interpreter working in California who, following a difficult divorce, rebuilds her professional footing with the support of a colleague, Stefani, and a new acquaintance, Nicholas. Her work brings her into contact with four Thai individuals whose circumstances define the film's parallel narratives: Ananya, who faces an attempted murder trial; Noot, who is caught in a trafficking case; Daranee, who is battling cancer; and Sommai, a Muay Thai coach recovering from a serious crash. Together, these storylines examine the role of interpretation in legal, medical, and personal crises.
