The Social Distance

The Social Distance is scheduled for theatrical release on July 1, 2026. The film centers on two teenage best friends navigating the summer of the Covid-19 quarantine: one a science enthusiast, the other preoccupied with boys. Together they set out to build a functional spaceship as a way of escaping the lockdown before the season ends and they separate to attend different high schools. As their launch date approaches, the project itself becomes less of an obstacle than the strain on their friendship. The film operates within the coming-of-age genre, using the constrained setting of pandemic-era summer as its backdrop.
