The Elysian Field

The Elysian Field, released under its original title Ha Lyngkha Bneng, arrived in cinemas on April 22, 2025. The film is a Nepali-language drama with science-fiction elements, set in the year 2047 in the East Khasi Hills.

The story centers on Livingstone, one of only six remaining villagers in a community thinned by urban migration. His journeys aboard a vintage bus carry personal significance, connecting him to the memory of his late wife, Belinda. The broader narrative traces the bonds among the remaining villagers as each confronts private grief, unfulfilled desires, and the pressures of a changing world. Community and solidarity serve as the film's structural and thematic core.
