Table Read, known in Chinese as 潛台詞, is an upcoming Chinese-language film set for release on June 27, 2026. The story centers on Fiona, a student from Hong Kong who is unexpectedly selected by a professor identified as Professor J to play the female lead in his new production. The scenario unfolds across a staged family dinner, where an unscripted performance, an uncooperative co-actor, and spectators unaware they are witnessing theater cause the line between fiction and reality to erode.
