NEKOMANCIEN

NEKOMANCIEN is a French-language animated feature that received its release on April 23, 2025. The film centers on a cat with magical abilities — referred to as the Nekomancer — who has lost his owner, a powerful witch held in high regard by those around her. Left to fend for himself, he makes a living by tracking down artifacts and creatures and selling his findings. In the course of this work, he comes across word of an amulet said to grant immortality, and sets out to acquire it. Standing between the Nekomancer and the amulet is a lord whose mind has been overtaken by the object's power, turning what begins as a treasure hunt into a confrontation that appears, at least initially, to be beyond the cat's ability to win.
