Mortal

A Bengali-language film titled *Mortal* is scheduled for release on April 25, 2026. Beyond the language of origin and the date, what the production has made public is essentially a single, carefully constructed premise: an artificial intelligence is granted human life for the duration of one day, and during those hours it encounters a man who cannot die. The two spend that limited time together — one experiencing finitude for the first and only time, the other having lived so long that the concept of an ending has become abstract, then alien, then perhaps unbearable.
