Her Silence

Her Silence opens in cinemas on 10 August 2026. The film is set in Sydney, where an international student hosts her parents for a visit that stretches across two fraught days. The narrative focuses on the tension between the daughter's chosen life in Australia and her mother's unspoken social expectations — a conflict expressed not through confrontation but through the accumulation of everyday moments and omissions. The film approaches intergenerational diaspora experience through close observation of domestic detail, placing the weight of its drama in gesture, silence, and what goes unsaid between family members across a cultural divide.
