Green Concrete

Green Concrete, known in Korean as 콘크리트 녹색섬, is a documentary feature produced by Studio Siot, scheduled for release on August 19, 2026. The film centers on a recurring condition in urban development: the removal of trees when reconstruction projects proceed. Beginning with memories and archival records, the project expands into encounters with individuals across different fields to examine practical methods for preserving trees during such processes. The film traces the trajectory of trees that once stood on what it describes as a green island, following them through the phases of demolition and concrete construction until their disappearance.
