Following The Line

Following The Line (循著線的軌跡) is scheduled for release on April 26, 2026. The film is set against the backdrop of Taiwan's Economic Miracle of the 1960s and 1970s, a period of rapid industrialization during which many young women set aside personal ambitions to support their families economically.

The story centers on a character known as Grandmother, presented as representative of a generation of women shaped by those social and economic pressures. The film uses scissors and thread as recurring symbolic elements: thread stands for the entanglement and continuity of the constraints placed on Grandmother by her past, while scissors represent her awakening will and her effort to cut free from lingering attachments and regrets.
