Dry Wood

Dry Wood (Ξερό Κλαρί) is a Greek-language documentary scheduled for release on 6 August 2026. The film focuses on Grigoris Kapsalis, a 96-year-old clarinet master regarded as the last living representative of a generation of musicians who shaped the traditional music of the Epirus region of northwestern Greece. Filmed at his home, it records what is framed as a final encounter with Kapsalis, during which he reflects on a lifetime devoted to the clarinet. Alongside these intimate sequences, the film documents preparations for the annual village feast in the local square — a communal tradition in which Kapsalis has long been a central figure. No streaming platforms have been announced at this stage.
