The Weavers

The Weavers, a documentary produced by St Cyrus Studios, opens on August 14, 2026. The film is set inside Scottish textile mills, where workers produce tartan and tweed using machines that have been in operation for centuries. With apprentices increasingly scarce, the documentary examines what the dwindling pipeline of skilled labor means for the long-term survival of the craft. Streaming and wider distribution details have not yet been announced.
