Solar Shadow

Solar Shadow, known in Portuguese as À Sombra do Sol, is a Brazilian documentary scheduled for release on April 28, 2026. The film examines Indigenous ancestral astronomy in Brazil, drawing on lectures, conversations, and community memory to trace how traditional knowledge of the sky has been passed down, transformed, and in some cases lost. The documentary frames these accounts as a meditation on how different human communities understand and interpret the cosmos.
