Rosen und Reis

Rosen und Reis is scheduled for release on May 20, 2026. The German-language film centers on Maike and Sören, a married couple whose unresolved tensions — stemming from Maike's infidelity — collide with the chaotic wedding preparations of Maike's sister Inka. When Maike suggests Sören take a fling of his own to settle the score, he ends up sleeping with her best friend Doris, escalating the situation considerably. Doris's husband Dirk is enraged, Maike feels betrayed despite having issued the invitation, and Inka, caught in the middle of the disorder, begins to question whether her own wedding — which her groom Nils is pursuing largely to satisfy his conservative mother Renate — should go ahead at all. The film tracks the simultaneous unraveling of multiple relationships across what was meant to be a celebratory occasion.
