Reproduction (original title: Reproduktion) is a German-language documentary that received its release on 6 May 2025. The film takes as its starting point the shared architectural complex in Hamburg that houses both a maternity clinic and an art school — the institution where the director taught. From that physical intersection of birth and creative work, the film constructs an interrogation of how motherhood and professional life are negotiated, drawing on the experiences of three generations of German women.
