Ice Women

Ice Women, known in its original language as Eisfrauen, is a documentary film scheduled for release on May 9, 2026. The film centers on three historical figures — women who undertook expeditions into Arctic deserts at considerable personal cost, yet have largely faded from public memory. Alongside these historical accounts, the documentary turns to present-day women working in the Arctic, including researchers aboard an icebreaker in Greenland and individuals working to preserve Inuit culture and language in Alaska and Greenland.
