Enlighten the Deaf, released in Chinese as 沉默的巨响, opened on April 23, 2025. The film is a Chinese-language drama built around three interlocking elements: a deaf man whose stubbornness is a matter of perception, a collection of ordinary people trapped by the pressures of everyday reality, and an explosion that exists in a suspended, unresolved state — an allusion to the Schrödinger's cat thought experiment applied to narrative structure.
