Difficult Dads

Difficult Dads (original title: Трудные папы) is a Russian-language film scheduled for release on July 7, 2026. After the death of her overprotective mother, Katya — described as smart, modest, and accommodating to a fault — finds herself dealing with more than grief. She inherits both her mother's house and her mother's late lover, Andrey Nikolaevich, who has nowhere else to go. Alongside this unwanted arrangement, Katya must confront a mortgage debt that threatens her home, a long-held secret her mother kept from her throughout her life, and an unknown man to whom her mother had been sending significant sums of money for years. For the first time, she must face all of it without anyone else taking the lead.
