Can-doist

Can-doist (가능주의자) is a Korean-language documentary scheduled for release on July 15, 2026. The film follows vegan animal rights activists who have spent the past decade building and leading the animal rights movement in South Korea. Rather than limiting their focus to companion animals, the subjects advocate on behalf of farmed and captive animals, engaging in direct actions that have included rescuing pigs and dolphins and challenging institutional and legal frameworks. The documentary traces how these activists have constructed a broader social movement oriented toward the coexistence of all living beings.
