Auguste

Auguste is a Turkish-language drama that opened on May 6, 2025. The film centers on Tahsin, an elderly man in the early stages of dementia, who insists to his son and granddaughter that he once worked as a clown. As he attempts to substantiate his memories, the exercise turns inward: the gap between the person he believes he was and the person his family describes pushes him toward an identity crisis. Caught between a vivid, colorful past he may or may not accurately recall and the diminished circumstances of his present life, Tahsin is left questioning not only his history but his sense of self.
