Remittance Letter, also known by its Chinese title 纸短情长, is a Chinese television series set to premiere on April 23, 2026. The story is set in 1928 and centers on Chen Jiadong, a man who travels to Southeast Asia in pursuit of a better life. His connections to family and homeland are sustained through qiaopi, the historic practice of bundling handwritten letters with monetary remittances that served as a lifeline between overseas Chinese communities and their relatives back home. Through this framework, the series traces Chen Jiadong's experiences with hardship, love, and familial devotion.
