About this release
Connecting to You premieres on August 14, 2026, as a single-season Taiwanese series produced by GrX Studio. The series is presented in Mandarin Chinese and spans 13 episodes across its first and only announced season.
The story centers on Jia-kai, who possesses the ability to see colored threads that link people to one another — the more threads, the stronger a person's social bonds. Despite observing countless connections in others, Jia-kai has never had a thread of his own, and has come to regard himself as a loner. After a chaotic incident brings him into contact with a policeman named Da-wei, a single silver-grey thread appears between them for the first time. Determined not to lose it, Jia-kai takes a part-time position at the police station to remain close to Da-wei, and along the way uses his ability to assist with cases involving missing people and objects. As the two grow closer, the thread shifts color — from silver-grey to yellow, signifying friendship, and eventually to red, signifying love.
