Jean-François Richet (born July 2, 1966) is a French film director and screenwriter. Debuting with État des lieux (1995) and Ma 6-T va crack-er (1997), he earned early critical notice for his gritty portrayals of French suburban life. Richet expanded into international genre filmmaking with the remake Assault on Precinct 13 (2005).
