Davi Pretto is a Brazilian film director and screenwriter. At the age of 25, he premiered his feature debut "Castanha" at the Forum section of the 64th Berlin Film Festival in 2014. The film also competed in festivals such as Edinburgh, Hong Kong, Bafici, Havana and Rio de Janeiro, where it won Best Film in the New Trends section.
