Transition

Transition, released under its German title Übergang, is a documentary scheduled for release on August 5, 2026, produced by ma.ja.de. FilmProduktions. Thomas Heise, a documentarian known for his long engagement with German subjects, began the film as a portrait of Berlin's Schönhauser Allee, the street where he lived for decades. Heise died unexpectedly a few months into production, making Transition an unfinished or posthumously completed work shaped by the circumstances of his death.
