Spring, known in Ukrainian as Vesna, is a narrative film set for release on May 18, 2026. The story is set in a town of approximately 40,000 inhabitants in south-eastern Ukraine during a Russian military occupation. Andriy, a 35-year-old Ukrainian Orthodox priest, watches his church converted into a morgue and is compelled by occupying forces to guard the bodies of Ukrainian civilians who have been shot. Every three weeks, Russian soldiers collect the bodies to bury them in mass graves, an effort to conceal evidence of killings. For several months, Andriy covertly circumvents this process by returning the bodies to their families before collection. As winter sets in and the frozen ground prevents burial, his ability to continue this act of resistance becomes increasingly constrained. The film is in the Ukrainian language.
