Signs of Mr. Plum, known in Polish as Znaki Pana Śliwki, is scheduled for release on May 16, 2026. The film follows Karol Śliwka, who leaves his rural home to study art in Warsaw despite family opposition and the loss of one eye, going on to become a defining figure in Polish graphic design. His work — signs, symbols, and visual identifiers — spread across Polish homes, streets, institutions, and workplaces throughout the communist era, shaping the country's everyday visual environment in ways that bypassed the gallery system entirely. The film also documents his private family life, which Śliwka recorded over many years. He is regarded as one of the foremost sign designers in the world.
