New Group

New Group, released under the original title NEW GROUP, opens in Japanese theaters on June 12, 2026. The film centers on Ai, a high school girl who feels constrained by social pressure but struggles to act against the current. When students at her school inexplicably begin forming human pyramids, the behavior escalates — teachers and the principal encourage participation, and gymnastic formations spread beyond the school into the wider town. As the conformity phenomenon grows, Ai and Yuu, a transfer student who has difficulty fitting in, emerge as the only two individuals resisting it.
