Midsommar opens in theaters on July 3, 2019, produced by B-Reel Films. The film centers on a group of friends who travel to Sweden under the premise of anthropological study, drawn to a remote village hosting a festival that occurs once every nine decades. Set against the backdrop of the Swedish summer, where daylight is unrelenting, the story follows their gradual immersion in the local community's rituals, which grow increasingly threatening as the festival progresses.
