About this release
London's Last Wilderness is scheduled for release on April 24, 2026. The film follows an alien visitor that discovers it can communicate with Earth's oceans and becomes the sole intermediary between humanity and a marine intelligence whose tolerance for human behavior is diminishing. Through this communication, the alien receives memories, warnings, and signals about the precarious state of the planet's existence.
The narrative operates as a parable about humanity's relationship with the natural world, using an extraterrestrial perspective to survey stretches of wilderness that have largely escaped sustained human attention — including areas that bear visible marks of environmental neglect. The alien eventually encounters a controlling city but chooses not to intervene, leaving the outcome to the sea itself.
Further details regarding the director, studio, and distribution platforms have not been announced at this time.
