Just Friends

Just Friends, originally titled Друг, is a Russian-language drama from Bosfor Pictures set for release on August 19, 2026. The film centers on Masha, who returns to her hometown and reconnects with Pasha, a figure from her past she has not seen in many years. The two are drawn together through shared grief over the death of someone close to them, yet their divergent lives — shaped by differing dreams and accumulated losses — repeatedly pull them apart. Each time they meet, a familiar feeling resurfaces, but neither is able to act on it decisively. The story traces their development across time, as recurring encounters and personal setbacks gradually bring both characters toward a clearer understanding of themselves and of what they mean to each other.
