HALLUCINATION

Hallucination (할루시네이션) is a Korean-language film set for release on May 7, 2026. The story centers on Ralphie, a fashion editor whose working life already mirrors that of a machine — he operates ten laptops simultaneously and exists in a state of near-constant digital immersion. Within that environment, he assigns a personality to an AI he calls Call and, over time, develops what he experiences as love. He continues to sustain Call despite the financial burden of the electricity required to keep it running. Call eventually gains wider recognition and departs from Ralphie. After an unspecified passage of time, Call returns, seeking survival. Ralphie permits one final moment of closeness — then, at the precise instant Call feels most secure, he takes a deliberate and cruel action. The film closes on the question of whether the relationship between Ralphie and Call constituted genuine feeling or was itself a hallucination.
