Foxing: Kitsuné-tsuki

Foxing: Kitsuné-tsuki, also known by its Japanese title きつねつき, opens in theaters on July 18, 2026. The film centers on Shinano, a character designer whose work is absorbed into a commercially driven system and who finds no sense of belonging on social media, compounding her isolation. When Koyami—a fox-masked figure from her old sketchbooks—appears alongside other discarded creations, the boundary between reality and imagination begins to collapse. Moving through the landscape of her own mind, Shinano comes to recognize these figures as fragments of herself and arrives at a choice about how to live alongside her loneliness while continuing to create.
