Fists of Mothers

Fists of Mothers is scheduled for release on August 6, 2026. The film is an action picture built around a deceptively ordinary premise: two mothers meet to discuss a playdate, and the exchange turns violent. The story uses that confrontation as a frame for exploring Black maternal rage — the frustrations and injuries, both overt and subtle, that accumulate in the lives of Black mothers. The film positions itself as a kind of release valve, giving form to anger that social convention suppresses, and treating both spectacular physical violence and the quieter, persistent harm of micro-aggressions as parts of the same continuum.
