Exit 8 (Japanese: ８番出口) is a live-action film releasing on August 28, 2025. Exit 8, known in Japanese as ８番出口, is scheduled for theatrical release on August 28, 2025. The film centers on a man trapped in a repeating underground corridor who must locate and reach Exit 8. The mechanism governing his situation operates on a fixed set of rules: observe any anomaly in the environment and turn back immediately; if nothing unusual is present, continue forward. A single failure to notice an irregularity returns him to the beginning of the passage. The premise is adapted from a well-known independent video game of the same name, in which players navigate a looping train station underpass under identical rules. The film translates that loop-based structure into a live-action format.
