Olívia is a reserved pianist who mistakes caution for maturity, cradling herself in the false illusion that there will always be time to fulfill her dreams. A chance encounter in a café brings her back to a past love, who is about to leave for Austria for a decisive audition. Within the intimacy of heavy silences and restrained gestures, the abyss that separates them is revealed: while he accepts risk as the only way to exist, Olívia retreats into immobility.
