In I Want You To Pause This, three registers (sound, image, text) happen at the same time. Since the centre of attention is constantly deferred, the only way to watch the film 'properly' is to stop watching full-stop: to pause and look at the stills. So the paradox goes. The story is simple: a time-travelling 'aconceptualist' goes back in time, in an attempt to stop his joke of an art movement getting taken seriously. He finds himself on a beach from his childhood.
